The Smart Energy Lab was created by BMG and was the first solar-powered mobile experience. It was built in a single-pod expandable trailer fitted with 21 solar panels. This power source gave 10 hours of runtime per event.
The lab was based around typical questions that customers ask of their energy company and included 12 interactive stations, an 85-inch touchscreen display and electric vehicle charging station.
Visitors could view a display of electric meters dating back to the 1800s and arcing electrical hazard simulations, as well as having the opportunity to learn about smart meters.
As well as fabricating the experience, BMG took the tour on the road, managing all aspects of logistics and supporting the road team and visitors.
