The Medical Devices Roadshow was designed to take key pieces of equipment into hospitals to demonstrate their capabilities to clinicians.
Having seen a decline on return from trade shows in recent years the client wanted to try a new approach and worked closely with the BMG team to identify a suitable vehicle and plan logistics.
The vehicle needed to be able to handle the weight of the equipment and also cope with being able to move the items safely, given the fact they were sensitive to movement and temperature. Eventually we settled on an expanding truck as this offered not only the best solution for the equipment but also the best visitor experience given the early spring roadshow dates.
Over an eight month period we worked together to plan logistics and to ensure that all details were in place.
Given the size of the equipment, installation in the truck involved removing the side of the truck itself, which was no problem for our production team who managed installation and derig onsite at our facility.
The client's team were supported on the road by our Driver Tour Manager who handled set up and packdown of the truck and ensured that the client's team were looked after.
